Learning Curve Recall VIA Determination

Is your product included in this recall?

This voluntary recall involves select Learning Curve VIA I470C infant car seats. Approximately 6,117 of the recalled products were sold in Canada by various retailers. The notice is limited to only the specified model and item numbers, which were sold between June 2011 and March 2014. No other Learning Curve infant car seats are affected by this recall.

Our top priority is always the health and safety of children. These infant car seats satisfied the Canadian testing and safety requirements when they were introduced into the market in 2011. Transport Canada has recently updated the required test parameters for these types of products. The Learning Curve VIA I470C infant car seats manufactured prior to this update, may not meet Transport Canada's current interpretation of the requirements for this type of infant car seat.

Neither Learning Curve, nor Health Canada have received any reports of any incidents or injuries related to the use of these infant car seats. However, in light of the advisory issued by Health Canada, consumers should stop using the affected products and discard them. Please take one photo of your car seat and a second photo of the model information sticker/label that includes the date before discarding the unit so you can submit for proof of ownership.
